Once again, it's time for Kellie's annual Literary Heroine Blog Party! I'm so excited this year, since I can be more 'involved' since I have completed 'Emma' and Northanger Abbey'. So here are my answers.

Introduce yourself! Divulge your life's vision, likes, dislikes, aspirations, or something completely random!

    Hi! I'm Emma, or Emma Margaret as I'm known on my other blog:) I'm eleven years old, sister, niece, daughter, cousin, crocheter, pianist, flautist, reader, crafter, baker and-hope-to-be registered nurse, mother, be thought of as the 'cool aunt' and the grandma's house that everyone wants to go to. Random fact? I have five siblings, three of which are boys and four girl cousins!

What, to you, forms the essence of a true heroine?

    She is kind, graceful{but not too perfect!}, almost fearless, gentle, loves everyone and is lovable herself, is faithful, trustworthy, but, she doesn't have to have perfect skin, no freckles, flowing hair, or amazingly thin. {if you do have freckles, try lemon juice, it works wonders:)}

Share {up to} four heroines of literature that you most admire and relate to.

   Probably Emma{coincidence, you say?} and Anne. I admire Miss Lavender in Anne, even though she isn't really pictured as a heroine:)

Out of those five books who is your favorite main character and why?

Um, Anne...................duh. Do I really need to say why??:)

Out of those five books who is your favorite secondary character and why?

Oh dear. Can I choose one from each book??:) Hmm......I think it would have to be......Susan from Anne's House of Dreams and Anne of Ingleside:) Not my favorite character from the whole series, but just when she comes into the books. She is frank, generous, giving, loving and loves her adored 'family' and can't stand it when one is hurt or depressed. Also, her reaction to Aunt Mary Maria is such a fun few chapters to read through:) 'And Aunt Mary Maria never knew how close she was to having the gravy boat and it's contents thrown at her head'.

If you were to plan out your dream vacation, where would you travel to-and what would you plan to do there?

Hmm.....I would love to go to Prince Edward Island, and that's where I hope to go someday for my honeymoon:) But if I could choose now, I would want to go to St. John, Allagash or Camden again:)

What is your favorite time period and culture to read about?

Hmm...I really like everything!:)

Hmm....probably music:)

There is nothing in this world better than chocolate. I love dark chocolate best, milk second, and white chocolate is gross!

2013 was a very busy year for me--here is a little overview of what happened...........

january // had fun at our homeschooling group's annual spelling bee // made fun memories with my mom and siblings when my dad was away on business overnight // attended one of the four baby showers that we would attend that year, all for ladies in my church!



february // i made friends with an amazing young lady, miss becca wall, and her gorgeous sisters, mary and julia! // found a new book series // celebrated my amazing cousin jillian's ninth birthday // 

march // celebrated ethan's eigth birthday // celebrated my mom's fourty *** eth birthday:) // got an autographed picture of janette oke // had an amazing time at my friend jean's tenth birthday slumber party //


april // celebrated my eleventh party after an extremely busy week // watched my mom run her first 5k // had an amazing easter with family // had a girl day with grammy // 


may // celebrated aaron's sixth birthday // made a raspberry coffee cake for mother's day // had a hot, fun, memorial day with family // got a new van // went to the beach //

Hello! About the book club-I've been getting Anonymous comments with questions about the book club so I guess the only way to answer them is to do more posts! So one of the questions was what kind of books we read. Well, we've been reading like, Nancy Drew, The Babysitter's Club, Secret Sisters, stuff like that-Secret Sisters is something we might read through the whole series-it's a Christian book series-and we have a few other good ones picked out. Another question was what kind of church do you go to-we go to a Reformed Baptist Church. So again, if you would like to join, please comment with your name and email address-I will delete for you after I see it-but the email has to be a Gmail account because we meet through Gmail chat. Book club

Hey guys! Just popping in really quick-I was wondering if anyone would like to join my book club! It's called Best Buds Book Club and we meet once a month, on the last Saturday of every month at 4:00 (EST) If you would like to, just comment!

Gray days

Gray days. Days full of hopeful waiting for spring to arrive. Days full of good books, rain, tea and mud. Days full of cheerful fires, sunny days, cloudy skies, and blog posts. Days full of letters to friends, doodles, photos, and hope. The sun comes out for just one day, and that days is spent outside, soaking in the sun, lying lazily on the hammock and pretending that spring has come to stay. But wait-you look out the window the next morning, and trace the pattern that the raindrops are making on the window. You hopefully look for the first robin of the year, and are thrilled when not one, but six appear in your yard, only to fly away again to take shelter from the snow and rain. Longing for shorts, sunglasses, beach days, school vacation, swimming in the lake-everything that spring and summer have to offer-but, they still don't come.

March and April are dreary months-but, they are sunny at the same time. One day, the sun is shining, there is  cool breeze, not a cloud in the sky! There are even crocus coming up in the garden. But, the next day, the harsh rain turns the sky dark and cloudy, pushing away the sun, ruining the crocus' hope of blooming for Easter, turning the ground to mud. In those months, it is best to forget the weather, forget about everything, and escape to the wonderful world of Pinterest. After three hours of Pinterest, enter into the blogging world and scroll through blog after blog-some that you haven't looked at for years. And then, grab a cup of tea, a good book, and curl up on your bed to be lost in yet another fantasy land.

Sorry!

Hey guys! So, I forgot about the Weekly Wrap-Up last week so I'll have to try again in April. Anyway, Spring looks like it finally might be here to stay!! It'll still be a while before we are swimming in the lake, but, just the sun is nice for now! I've been pretty busy with school-which we only have seven more weeks of!!-swimming lessons, and lot's of other stuff, but I will be posting more often! I'll be back soon with pictures from Ethan's birthday!

Scavenger Hunt Sunday+Sweetness

Hello!

Okay, let me explain why I'm posting on Sunday when I shouldn't even be home from church yet-(our pastor isn't known for getting out on time, but he's still the best:) Well, we all have hand-foot-mouth sickness which is just a sickness where you get spots all over your face, hands and feet and arms and legs and in your mouth and your throat-pretty much everywhere! Since we're contagious, we couldn't go to church so we stayed home with Dad while Mom went. Since I had to stay home, I decided to take some pictures for Scavenger Hunt Sunday which is a photo challenge hosted by Mrs. Ashley Sisk from Ramblings and Photos. I always love to look at it on Sunday but I never have time to actually enter so this was the perfect chance! Did I mention she has an adorable little baby girl named Felicity?? I am such a sucker for babies!!!! Even the wrinkly little red babies, but Felicity is definitely a beautiful baby:) I know I talked about this in the last post but I have more news. Mrs. Smith-a lady at church-IS HAVING A BABY! That will be eight babies when they are born! Gill Woods is having a boy, Mrs. Smith doesn't know yet but hopefully it'll be a girl because they have adorable boys, Julian and Cooper. Funny story- Cooper wanted to name the baby Cooper and was super disappointed when his mom said no:) He thinks he should name the baby after him because his name is Cooper David Scott Smith-his granpa is David and his dad is Scott-in the nursery, we can't call him Cooper, you have to say Cooper David Scott Smith:) He is really cute with blond hair and chubby pink cheeks-he is another one of my favorite kids:) Enough chatter, onto the pictures! that it is fall-notice the bare trees-that is also a sign that winter is coming:(

I think these are pretty cool. This is part of a geod that we got when we
went to New York at Howe Caverns-we took it home and split it
open to lots of these little pieces with diamonds in them!

                                          5. Sparkle

For this shot, I used an old diamond necklace of Mom's-it is
super sparkly-I love how it turned out! Plenty of sparkle!:)
