You will need:::
Cookie:
2 1/4 cups of flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of shortening
3/4 cup of sugar
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of water
2 eggs
Crumble:
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
4 Tbsp. soft butter
Glaze
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon of water
2 teaspoons of vanilla
Sift together flour, baking soda and salt |
In a mixing bowl, cream together shortening, sugars, vanilla and water |
Add the eggs |
Gradually add the flour mixture and beat until combined |
Combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon and butter and stir until it is the consistency of sand |
Preheat the oven to 375. Plop the tablespoon sized cookies onto a greased baking sheet or use one of those rubber sheet thing-ys:) |
Bake the cookies for 5 minutes, then remove them and sprinkle the crumble on top. Put them back in and back for 4 more minutes or until golden brown |
Combine the sugar, vanilla and water to make the glaze |
Drizzle the glaze over the warm cookies |
Warning: these cookies require a TALL glass of milk. |
