Planning a Wedding

So, I've been gone for a while. But, I'm back! And with lots of new, fun posts so share with you guys! So, let's get started!

So, have you ever thought about planning your wedding? I know I have! Although it is extremely fun, it can probably be very demanding...especially when you have a deadline. Something that I've really enjoyed doing lately, is going on Pinterest and just looking up 'wedding'. That one word turned up so many different ideas, that I could have sat and looked through it all until I actually do get married! So I go through all these pins, and I put together a dress, outfits for the bridesmaids, a cake, food, decorations, flowers and colors, into a wedding that I would love! And there are SO many different styles of dresses, cakes, flowers and so many colors! And then you can have a traditional church wedding, outdoor wedding, ranch wedding, (the awesome in my opinion) beach wedding! And then do you want modern, vintage, classy, girly, lacey, rustic?!? So many options! So here are some of my favorite wedding pins. (in case you didn't guess,i want a rustic, vintage outdoor wedding:)

Bridesmaid & Flower Girl Dresses
I love this! If you have a smaller party with an even number, why not have both wedding colors represented?
I love this dress style, not too long, not too short, and I love the lace detailing on the bodice! I also love the colors.
And for the flower girl (or girls) I love these simple styles:

little girls like to dress up as dancers could make the wedding that much more comfortable and fun for them. #weddings #ideas #TheMarkOlympia

flower girl dress. Vintage twist. @Christie Moffatt NesbittHARLI -The Emma Elizabeth Lace Flower Girl Dress for by kailynzoeandco, $114.95

Wedding Gown
I love really simple wedding gowns. I love all the vintage ones that they have and I love lace details.I really can't decide what I like better, long with a train or shorter, but not too short.

Vintage wedding dress Vintage wedding dresses i would love to have lace all the way up to my neck
Gorgeous. Re-pin if you like. Via Inweddingdress.com #weddingdresses

Vintage Wedding Dress by SarahsSuitcase on Etsy,1960's Vintage Wedding Dress. $1,050.00, via Etsy. Your goal....find it for less $ or a "look-a-like" for less :p

If I did choose short, it would probably be this style
Vintage wedding dressIf it had to short this would be my pick.

Color

If you’re planning a Spring wedding, Pantone Hemlock might be your perfect color. Pair this fresh mint green with pale pink and gold.
This is probably my favorite                                             And I love the coral and light mint

I love this! If you have a smaller party with an even number, why not have both wedding colors represented?
love these colors- mix of blues and greens for bridesmaid dresses (let them choose their own)?

Decorations
Here's an idea you can use for an out-of-the-world outdoor wedding: transparent tents, with lights and silver / gold streamers! #indian

Flowers
I think I just want big bouquets of hydrangeas. They are so gorgeous and come in lots of colors; white, ivory, light green, light and dark blue, purple, pink!

Gramma and Grampa's garden always had beautiful hydrangeas.

blues... for Hydrangeas... these make beautiful arrangements fresh or dried! My wedding flower - These will be planted in our garden this spring.
Endless Summer Hydrangea macrophylla is one of the most famous rebloomers. Introduced in 2004, it allowed gardeners in Northern climates to be able enjoy hydrangeas in their gardens. It features big mophead clusters of blue or pink flowers and grows 5 feet tall and wide. Zones 4-9

Beautiful Vanilla Strawberry Hydrangea that blooms from June to first frost!

Cake
I think I would want a plain and simple vanilla cake with maybe coconut buttercream..yum!
For style, maybe something like this:

Jewels of the World~Preview

Hi guys! Recently, I had a great idea for a short book series for younger girls--more on the actual theme later--but I want to give you guys a preview of the first book!

Jewels of the World
The Beginning
By Emma Masse

                         Chapter One
                   Grandma’s House

Opal Sanders stepped through the door of her grandmother’s cottage and took a deep breath. Lilac, vanilla, perfume and fresh country air filled her nostrils. Opal was visiting her grandmother for two days, and there was no place in the world that she loved more than her Grandma’s house. A small cottage, faraway from the blinking city lights, close to the open country that Opal and her Grandma loved so much. A cottage large enough to fit only ten, but which had love for hundreds. The door opened to a dining area, a rustic country kitchen, the family room, or ‘The Memory Room’, as her Grandma called it, a bathroom, Grandma’s bedroom and two spare bedrooms. There was no second floor, except for a small flights of stairs leading to a dusty attic, filled with memories that her grandmother would remember on rainy days-spending hours and hours looking through boxes and scrapbooks. Her Grandma herself was a story book grandmother. Rosy cheeks, sparkling eyes, bouncing white curls, and a wardrobe that remained in days of long ago. Here came Grandma now. Opal was pulled into a hug which always made her remember all the good times she had spent with her grandmother in her twelve years. Her grandmother stepped back and looked at her. “Opal Pearl...look at you! You look so beautiful!” “Really?” Opal said to herself, looking down at her patched jean shorts and t-shirt. “My, you’ve grown a foot!” Grandma exclaimed.

I hope you enjoyed this preview!

LHBP~2014

Once again, it's time for Kellie's annual Literary Heroine Blog Party! I'm so excited this year, since I can be more 'involved' since I have completed 'Emma' and Northanger Abbey'. So here are my answers.

Introduce yourself! Divulge your life's vision, likes, dislikes, aspirations, or something completely random!
Hi! I'm Emma, or Emma Margaret as I'm known on my other blog:) I'm eleven years old, sister, niece, daughter, cousin, crocheter, pianist, flautist, reader, crafter, baker and-hope-to-be registered nurse, mother, be thought of as the 'cool aunt' and the grandma's house that everyone wants to go to. Random fact? I have five siblings, three of which are boys and four girl cousins!

What, to you, forms the essence of a true heroine?
    She is kind, graceful{but not too perfect!}, almost fearless, gentle, loves everyone and is lovable herself, is faithful, trustworthy, but, she doesn't have to have perfect skin, no freckles, flowing hair, or amazingly thin. {if you do have freckles, try lemon juice, it works wonders:)}

Share {up to} four heroines of literature that you most admire and relate to.
Probably Emma{coincidence, you say?} and Anne. I admire Miss Lavender in Anne, even though she isn't really pictured as a heroine:)

Five of your favorite historical novels.
 Little Women
Anne of Green Gables----and yes, it CAN count:)
Son of Charlemagne
A Proud Taste for Scarlet and Miniver
Mail Order Bride series

Out of those five books who is your favorite main character and why?
Um, Anne...................duh. Do I really need to say why??:)

Out of those five books who is your favorite secondary character and why?
Oh dear. Can I choose one from each book??:) Hmm......I think it would have to be......Susan from Anne's House of Dreams and Anne of Ingleside:) Not my favorite character from the whole series, but just when she comes into the books. She is frank, generous, giving, loving and loves her adored 'family' and can't stand it when one is hurt or depressed. Also, her reaction to Aunt Mary Maria is such a fun few chapters to read through:) 'And Aunt Mary Maria never knew how close she was to having the gravy boat and it's contents thrown at her head'.

If you were to plan out your dream vacation, where would you travel to-and what would you plan to do there?
Hmm.....I would love to go to Prince Edward Island, and that's where I hope to go someday for my honeymoon:) But if I could choose now, I would want to go to St. John, Allagash or Camden again:)

What is your favorite time period and culture to read about?
Hmm...I really like everything!:)

You have been invited to perform at a local charity concert. Singing, comedy, recitation-what is your act comprised of?
Hmm....probably music:)

If you were to attend a party where each guest was to portray a heroine of literature, who would you select to represent?
Can you guess?? YES! Anne:)

What are your sentiments on the subject of chocolate?
There is nothing in this world better than chocolate. I love dark chocolate best, milk second, and white chocolate is gross!

Favorite authors?
Janette Oke~Jan Karon~ Jane Austen~The Bronte Sisters~

Besides essentials, what would you take on a visiting voyage to a foreign land.
Camera, books, a friend and chocolate

In which century were most of the books you read written?
Mostly 19th and 20th

In your opinion, the ultimate hero in literature is.........
Hmmm...........Wynn Delaney from the Canadian West series

Describe your ideal dwelling place.
Anne's House of Dreams

Sum up your fashion style in a short sentence.
Anything I can find

Have you ever wanted to change a character's name?
Not really. They wouldn't be the same with different names!

In your opinion, the most dastardly villain of literature is.......
Hmmm.........I'm not sure!

Three favorite non-fiction books?
The Trapp Family Singers
Louisa May Alcott:A Biography
The Bible

Your duties met for the day, how would you choose to spend a carefree summer afternoon?
Hmm...probably reading or baking

Create a verbal sketch of your dream hat-in such a way that will best portray your character.
Something much like this

Shabby Chic hat. Take an old straw hat, spray-paint it with white Flower spray to give it a even matt finish, let it dry and decorate with strips of lace and ribbons and add a silk rose or to to finish it off. Let it rest on your bed on chair to give the decor that extra bit of touch.

Share the most significant event{s} that have marked your life in the past year.
Hmm......spending a lot more time with my family!

Share the Bible passage{s} that have been most inspiring to you lately.
Hmmmm...........Proverbs 30-31
