Hello again! I am entering in this giveaway over at Accordian to Kellie.
1: Introduce yourself! Divulge your life's visions, likes, dislikes, aspirations or something completely random!
Well, I am 9 years old but I will be 10 in April. I love to blog and I also host a challenge blog with my mom and I help my little brother with his blog. I LOVE to read and I would die without books. I love to read out-loud to my younger sister at night and I also love to play the piano.
2:What to you, forms the essence of a true heroine?
Well, first of all, I think she would have to be pretty. And she would have to be very brave and kind and loving, doesn't mind jumping of a cliff or something like that to save someone.
3: Share (up to) four heroines of literature that you most admire and relate to.
Anne of Green Gables. (Can you tell when I do one of these kind of quizzes that I love Anne?:) And I think Emma is a definite heroine. And the March sisters mother, (Little Women) makes a perfect example of a heroine.
4: Five of your favorite historical novels?
Johnny Tremaine,
The Great Wheel
The Kit Kittredge series
The Molly McIntire series
I thought my soul would rise and fly- the diary of Patsy a freed girl.
5:Out of those five books, who is your favorite main character and why?
I like Kit Kittredge the American Girl growing up in the Great Depression. She loves her family, she is really smart, she's helpful and she would make a great friend.
6:Out of those five books, who is your secondary favorite character and why?
Conn from the Great Wheel. He follows his dream no matter what anyone says, he's very nice, and he married the girl I wanted him to marry. :)
7:If you were to plan out your dream vacation, where would you travel- and what would you plan to do there?
I would to Hawaii and learn to hula,:) and take ukulele lessons and have a good time.
8:What is your favorite time period and culture to read about?
Late 1800's and early and mid 1900's but I like any time period. I like books placed in England and Mexico but the USA is fine with me too. :)
9:You have been invited to perform at a local charity concert. Singing, comedy, recitation- what is your act comprised of?
Probably I would comedy and singing and I could put them together and sing badly!
10: If you were to attend a party where each guest was to portray a heroine of literature, who would you select to represent?
(Did you guess? Yep!) Anne of Green Gables.
11:What are your sentiments on the subject of chocolate?
I have one word. YUM.
12: Favorite author(s)?
L.M. Montgomery
Jane Austen
Megan McDonald
Hilda Stahl
13:Besides essentials, what would you take on a visiting voyage to a foreign land?
My camera, my Chihuahua, and a book translating that place's language into English.
14: In what century were most of the books you have read written?
Right now, mostly books in this time period. Like the Babysitters Club, The Best Friends, etc.
15: In your opinion, the ultimate hero in literature is...
I don't know!!
16:Describe your ideal dwelling place.
Green Gables or Patty's Place absolutely!
17:Sum up your fashion style in five words
Girlish, perky,sweet, stylish, anything!
18:Have you ever wanted to change a character's name?
Yes.
19: In your opinion, the most dastardly villain of literature is.....
Mr. Philips from Anne of Green Gables.(of course) He is not exactly a villain but he doesn't really teach. He just makes eyes at Prissy Andrews.
20:Three favorite non-fiction books?
Little Britches, Cheaper by the Dozen, Laura Ingalls Wilder series.
21:Your duties met for the day, how would you choose to spend a carefree summer afternoon?
Reading outside in the shade of our big maple tree.
22: Oooh, I like Grace's hat so much, I am going to have to copy her!!
23:Share the most significant event(s) that have marked your life in the past year.
Getting my Chihuahua. Getting a new baby cousin!!
24:Share the Bible passage(s) that have been inspiring to you lately.
"In my Father's house,
Are many mansions.
If it were not so,
I would have told you.
I go to prepare
A place for you.
John 14:2

Our room
Hello! Yesterday, Mom told me and Anna that we had to clean our room.:( So, lately, Anna and I have really been wanting rooms of our own.(Who doesn't want their own room?) So, then Mom told us that our bunk bed can come apart and can be made into twin beds! (Smart idea Mommy-O:) Idea, idea! So, as you can probably guess, we spent the rest of the afternoon taking our beds apart, arranging our room, and making stuff fit. Anna wants me to let everyone know that these animals are her's and not mine and that they are not for sale. (rolling of eyes here) This is her monkey Curly hanging from the end of the little animal hammock she uses to put some of her animals on.
Then, we perched her blue-jay Rocket, on our curtain rod. It's pretty old,(a little over 10 years to be exact) so they are bending downward a bit.
Then, we put her penguins, Ice and Happy
Feet on the windowsill so they are facing the
snow.
This is our bunk-bed before we moved into that room. That was the boys room then.
This is our room, After. I love it!! Anna's bed is on the left and mine is on the right.
And then here is my quilt from Aunt Gladys that we hung on the wall.
Thanks for looking at our new and improved room!

So that's what our room looked like Before.

I've been busy.
Hello! Happy Valentine's Day! I have been busy making cards. I don't have pictures of the Valentine's I made yet but I will have them done soon! This is a card I made for our sketch challenge at Children's Challenge Corner. I drew the sketch. (My first sketch!) Sorry about the bad pictures. I am still working on taking good photos. I used the Heart Balloon Bella and I used glitter for the top part of her dress and I used fuzz for the balloons.
This is the Valentine I made for Owen. I love the sentiments that come with the stamp! One of the sentiments says, "Fly softly and carry a pointy stick." sound familiar? "Talk softly and carry a big stick" Theodore Roosevelt for all the young people out there. I learned about it in school. :)
But this other sentiment is best. "Who loves you baby?"
This is the card I made for Carly's sketch challenge. The sketch is super easy and super cute!
Is this image not the cutest little image? I think my cards look so much better when Mom lets me use her Copics. The images anyway. She is letting me use her Copics for one card each month until she thinks I can use them all the time.
And this little watering can brad was perfect!
And the sentiment is so cute!

I love girl days-who doesn't?
Hello! Today, Anna and I, went with Grammy for a Girl Day. We went to Goodwill and Michael's and then we went to Wendy's! When Anna went up to go to the bathroom, Grammy and I played a little game we made up where when Anna isn't around, we pretend we don't know who she is! :) Here is how our conversation went.
Grammy: Who is that?
Me: I don't know! I thought she was with you!
Grammy: I thought she was with you! She must be an orphan.sighs.
Emma: She's an orphan that you don't even know and you bought her lunch?!
Grammy: She looked hungry. I guess she hasn't eaten in while!
Emma: Should we take her with us?
Grammy: I suppose we should do our Christian duty.
We both laughed so hard, some people from another table looked over at us like, "What is the matter with them?" Then, we went to Grammy's house and we made Oatmeal Cookies with Butterscotch Morsels. Yum.
Then, we read and then, Grammy brought me and Anna to Art Class. It's being taught by Rebekah LaCourse. You can check out her website, Sweet Almond Studio, just click on the link. She drew the Maine Duck Stamp. The class was really fun. Then Grammy brought us home. I should have taken pictures!! I will next time I go to the library to help. I couldn't this week because the head librarian was home sick.

Jane Austen.
Hello! I was looking at Emily Boyd's beautiful blog and I decided to check out the Jane Austen tag she had posted about. The Jane Austen blog is event is being hosted by Grace from Grace's Garden Walk. Her blog is so pretty too! I am SO happy I started a blog! Imagine all the fun stuff you would be missing out on if you hadn't started your blog! Anyway, here is my entry.
1: Let us start by your telling a little bit about your own self. Tell us a bit of your personality.Perhaps, tell a bit of your interests and pastime.
Well, I am 9 years old but I'll be 10 in April. (I am so glad I was born in Spring by the way:) I love to try new things most of the time but I don't think I am ready to try jumping out of a plane just yet. Nana says I'm motor-mouth and I guess I do talk a lot. There's just so much to talk about! I love playing with my 2 year old brother Owen and sometimes I play Polly Pocket's with my sister Anna. I love to cross stitch, knit, I would die without books, I like to bake and sometimes I make supper for Mom. I love making cards and I love looking at other peoples blogs and commenting on all their awesome cards and projects. I am just starting to get interested in photography and Mom is helping me learn all the stuff about the cameras that you need to know to be a good photographer. I also love to play the piano and play with my chihuahua Chica.
2: What literary character {whether it be in a film or book}would you say most describes your personality and mannerisms?
I guess I'm most like Emma from Emma . I haven't read the book but I have watched the movie once. Sometimes, Mom says I'm nosy and Emma was nosy in the movie to. I also have blond hair like hers.
3:What would you describe as the most lovely place to live in 1700's England? A cottage surrounded by woods or a mansion, perhaps to the same resemblance as Pemberley in Miss Austen's Pride and Prejudice.
Well, I guess a mansion with all those servants would be nice but I think I would prefer a log cabin in the woods with a little waterfall of to the right a little. But either of them would be nice.
4: List some of your favorite and least favorite literary works you have read.
I really like the Anne of Green Gables series. (I am going through it) I also like Little Women and Jane Eyre. I read Emily of New Moon. and I didn't really like it. I don't know why, it's a very popular book, I just didn't like it.
5:What would you describe as a most admirable heroine?
I think that Anne would make a great heroine. She has everything that heroine should have.(I think. I am not an expert on heroines) She's kind and loving, she's daring and brave, she is stubborn sometimes but every heroine has to get stubborn every once in a while.
6: If you could spend afternoon tea in the company of your favorite literary heroine, to whom would you spend it with?
Anne definitely.
7:Which is to your liking more:: tea or coffee?
I like coffee a little but I like tea better.
8:Which of Jane Austen's couples are you more fond of?
Sorry Emily, I am going to have to copy you. My favorite is Mr. Knightly and Emma.
9:What is one {a few} of your favorite literary quotes?
Marilla: Oh, Davy. Gentlemen don't eat like an animal!
Davy: But Marilla, I don't wanna be a 'gemplum!'
Anne of Green Gables.
10: Are you fond of dancing, singing or reading a good book?
I like to sing but I like to read much better than anything else.
11: And lastly, as this event is also hosted in celebration of my garden's second anniversary, would you mind explaining perhaps, how you stumbled upon my little plot of earth? Wink.
Well, I love looking at Emily's blog and I saw her post her entry for your Jane Austen event and decided to check it out!

Thank You
Hello! This is a card I made for Carly's recent sketch challenge. I also used the turtle image from Carly's Digi Shop which Carly and her mom graciously gave me for free! As Mom says, "I love getting free stuff!!" Who doesn't? Anyway, If you look closely in this pic, you can see how Mom let me use her Copics and if you look really close, you can see that I polka-dotted parts of her shell! And I love the little crocheted flowers that Mom used to make! They are so great for making cards! Drop by Carly's sketch blog to check out the awesome new sketch!

I have a "job!"
Hello! I hope everyone is safe and snug in this weather! Baby O has an appointment with Doctor O, (I don't know how to spell his real name so everyone calls him Doctor O) because Owen's foot has been hurting in his brace a lot. Owen's foot is better but Mom says he will probably have surgery when he is 3 or 4. Anyway, last week, I helped out at the library! I learned how to re-shelf books and check books out! Mrs. Blake, (the head librarian) said I could be her Thursday girl! I might be able to go in today and if I do, maybe Mrs. Blake will let me take some pictures! Anyway, and here are some pictures of Baby O yesterday before he woke up. I like in the first one how I made his hand look giant! I couldn't help myself! This is his foot without the brace. That foot is looking great! I didn't get a pic of his other foot because he woke up. Then,in the last picture, he woke up.
Thanks for looking at my blog! And pop by Children's Challenge Corner for a brand new February challenge!
Emma.
